OVERVIEW

A series of one-day, timed round-robins (two hours), that qualify players for an exciting end of the season MLP Amateur “TEAM” format Draft and Championship Tournament.

Format: Players are grouped by DUPR into the appropriate round robin bracket and play as many matches as possible within the two-hour window. At the end of the eight week season, the top 8 male and female players (16 total) from each bracket (64 total players) will be drafted onto teams by MLP/DUPR Commissioners.

National & Regional updates of New England’s top pickleball players will be publicized and highlighted as the “best-of-the-best”!

Step 2: QUALIFY AS AN INDIVIDUAL.

Join the DUPR Pickles Club!

Select and sign up for match sessions.

You can play in as few or as many weekend sessions as you like - the more you play the more likely you are to qualify for draft!

“Saturday” Match Sessions: Starting July 9th

(July 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th & August 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th)

7:00 AM - 9:00 AM = 3.5

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM = 5.0

“Sunday” Match Sessions: Starting July 10th

(July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31th & August 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th)

7:00 AM - 9:00 AM = 4.0

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM = 4.5

Draw Type: Round-Robin

Time/Bracket: 2 hours

Number of brackets: 4 (One for each level: 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0)

Genders: Open

Age Groups: Open

Number of players allowed per session: 20 max

Frequency: 8 Sessions (weeks) per bracket

Pricing: $50 per player/per session

Step 3: GET DRAFTED

At the end of the eight week season, the top 8 male and female players (16 total) from each bracket (64 total players) will be drafted onto teams.

Based on matches played, W/L record and points scored. Every point matters!

All draft picks will be conducted by MLP/DUPR Commissioners

Step 4: COMPETE AS A “4-PLAYER TEAM”

Labor Day Weekend! September 3rd & 4th 2022

Format: 2 male players, 2 female players per team, competing in a four-team playoff in the first ever MLP Amateur “TEAM” format Championship Tournament.

Team Prize Money: 1st Place in each division receives $2,000/team ($500/person)
